Get transferred from Maputo, or the Kosi Bay border post to your beachfront accommodation in Malongane. Have a swim in the ocean or pool, sip a sundowner around the fire and be treated to an authentic dining experience.
Depart from Malongane along the beach. An easy walk on day one to get the legs stretched. Arrive at Techo, go for a snorkeling experience you'll never forget, followed by a campfire under the stars. A nice easy day to ease into the experience and slowly allow you to leave the material world behind you.
A long beach walk, where no other footprints are seen. Complete serenity. Arrive at your luxury accommodation. Choose to put your feet up or to go on a game drive to view elephants, zebra, giraffe and wildebeest under the African night sky.
A medium length walk along a completely untouched and unspoilt coastline. Arrive at your lodge. For those of you who are into fishing — this is a great place to land a GT from the shore.
The last day towards paradise. Arrive at breathtaking Santa Maria. Swim and snorkel the Marine Reserve and enjoy a cold beverage of your choice in paradise, on Inhaca Island. Put your feet up at the beach bar for sundowners and get treated to the best seafood dinner Mozambique has to offer at the infamous Bemugi's Restaurant.
A boat transfer from Inhaca to Maputo, followed by transfers back to Kosi Bay or the airport. Or — for those who aren't quite ready — extend your stay with a Father & Son escape, a fishing charter, or a wellness week.
You don't have to travel as far as you think to experience paradise and one of the last truly unspoilt places on earth. Malongane is about half a day's travel from both Durban and Johannesburg.
